I have seen many people using Joomla for CMS but in actual WP works well when comes to question of ranking.

It depends on the way you use it, I mean the adons you've added and their Searc engine friendliness and also your SEO experience among several other factors.
I use WP though.

I used the joomla to build my site before, it is very hard to use, so I gave up late.

yes,i think wp is very well,it is powerful, you can build so many type site with it,and it is easy to operate.
