You definitely should try doing some of the offsite SEO yourself, it would be a lot cheaper. That is, writing articles, doing blog posts, and signature forum posting with your website in the signature/byline.

Odesk is one great resource of online income. There are many jobs posting that varies depending on skills, level of experience.
