Off-page optimization work

1. Submit the RSS feed in to various feed submission sites.

2. Create blogs on the blogger and wordpress.

3. Start directory submission

4. Do some quality link building

5. write keyword rich content and post it on the blog.

6. Put the links of the website on the blog

7.Do some social book marking for the webpages.

8. Write keyword rich and service specific articles and post them into 10 to 15 sites.

I think when you complete on-page work and your website cached by google then it will start ranking out of 200, and as your start and carry on off-page work then website will start appearing under 100.

Do not follow short cut it will very harm full. Go right track and feel relax.

I will say backlink is still the most important factors, so try the following to build high quality backlinks.

1. article submission
2. forum posting
3. press release submission
4. blogging and blog commenting
5. directory submission

Nowadays...backlinks from high domain PR sites do work to get your page ranked for such low competitive keywords.

high domain PR backlinks means backlinks from high PR websites profile page...like ebay profile page...etc

Your website’s URL can help you rank higher with the search engines if it contains your keywords.

However, don’t think that naming your site after your keywords will always help your rankings - you need to do more than just that.

You need to consider the fact most search engines don’t like automatic submissions or multiple submissions - submit once, manually.

Possible that you are already in Google for some words, and you just don't know this because none of existing services show you urls of your site that do not get visitors from google, because they are at deep pages.
To find this pages (their positions are easily increased because Google already finds them relevant) i used Seopivot and suggest you also to try it. Possible it will help.

blog submission
article submission(but avoid spamming)
social bookmarking
directory submission
and most important is to generate quality backlinks

I think all the techniques Jenny29 had mentioned here are absolutely necessary to increase backlinks and traffic to get better search results and rank better in SERP. The most effective amongst them is building backlinks via creating blogs. Proper keyword placement and proper anchor text if used you will get soon on the top page for your niche keywords.

Do keyword meta tags still do any good? I know google don't put much weight (if any) on that any more... I was wondering if yahoo, bing, etc...use them?
