i think article marketing is best way to appear site on first page. Article must be unique and contain quality.

I think all tactcis as stated here in the thread are useful but in my opinion blog commenting with high PR and forum posting are the best.

I think it depends on your keywords. If the keywords are not so hot, trying these normal seo tips can bring you the desired position. But if not, maybe you should keep working at link building for a long period.
