Anyone can tell me the fifferent between google and yahoo?

I just check the position of my site with any keywords on google,but i think it is not enough,you know yahoo also could take us traffic,so i use yahoo to check too,but i found that the same keyword in different search engine has difference position,so i want to know which factor of they calculated.

Different search engine have a different algorithm.
Getting the backlink in Google is difficult than yahoo.
There are many factor like that.

Yes,i know there have some difference between google and yahoo,but could you tell me more?
I know backlinks could improve your PR on google,but how about yahoo? Which factors would affect your position on yahoo?

Content of your site will help you to get into yahoo search results ... and some high quality back links from site those are relevant to your sites niche

Yahoo and Google both are good search engine, in some cases google is better then yahoo and in some cases yahoo is better then google. But, overall google is good.

Yes indeed! Both Google and yahoo have their own algorithm but as i think google is more better than yahoo.

3. founders
4. income
5. expenses
6. and many many more.,

I think when it comes to ranking Google is more strict and precise than yahoo, which at times can be manipulated.

you are right google is more effective as compare to yahoo, but i realized that "Now a days most of people are using yahoo as search engine." i feel this thing because i got most of traffic on my site from yahoo as compare to google. so, what you say about this one.

All search engine have different-different algorithms,and to acheive good position in google is too tough, but you know that searches in google is more that yahoo, so it's better you first learn google algorithm, as it is benefit to you.

1. Google has a philosophy of keeping things simple so that people who are technically challenged can use it without getting confused, Also that simple things are fast.. Yahoo believes in feature rich application.. their products are more customizable and complex.

2. Yahoo looks hip and colorful, whereas Google looks simple and elegant.

3. Google is more thoughtful and strategic, Yahoo is flamboyant and more reactive.

4. Google concentrates on value added solutions rather than presentation and Yahoo concentrates on superb presentation followed by value creation.

5. Yahoo has tons of media and ADS (loads slower). Google search is better (faster) only text ads.

As a search engine Google is basically unbeatable, when comparing results. If we are talking about groups and so on, we have to include other search engines.

google's algorithm is based on link analysis on more, while yahoo depends upon content analysis.
