Do you think submit to directory is effect?

Now i have submit my site to lots directories, and i have a question,is it effect?You know some of them need you add his link in your site,and some of them need money, if i add it free,maybe i need wait for a long time and at last it could not add mine.
And i 'm puzzled whether there have people log in the directory site to see it?
So i think maybe it just wast time. Right?

Directory submission is still important in SEO. Many people are still doing directory submissions and they are really getting some benefits as well.

You need to have some patience. Directory Submission is the basic and is important for SEO. You definitely get the results but have to wait for some time. You may also go for blog posting, blog commenting, social bookmarking, forum posting......

Yes,i have get backlinks with other kind methods,but i think some directory sites approval my site need too much time,so i think it just waste of my times.

It is the simplest method for getting the backlink.
Yes it is right that it takes some time for Approve but it is effective.

Yes, for quick backlinks the directories are good. Some accept the paid submissions, if you want to pay for listing then i would recommend you the niche directories as these directories are worth to pay and are the perfect place for targeting the customers looking for your products.

Directory submission is one of the basic of SEO..Directory submission is great if you have a new website to get some quick backlinks to your site but is useless when it comes to bringing traffic to your site.

only directory submission is not going to help to bring traffic. some one need to do more things to get traffic. getting PR is ok with directory.

well as far as i am concerned i had read that now google give very few importance to links from Directory, as Google found a lot of Directories doing link trading.So rather than submitting your website to a lot of Directories you should concentrate more on other link building strategies.

There are two good reasons to use directories submission:

1. Most of the directories have fairly high PageRank, this are the basis of the search engine to place a great value in link from directories.

2. The links from directories are considered to be a one-way linked and by this searched engine place a higher value than reciprocal links.

Submit to directory will affect so long time. Cause you need approval at the first time. After approval, you have to wait until your link indexed by SE. It can take times may be 1 until 3 month. So you have to be patient to see the result.

It is said that directory submission is not helpful but I think its still useful as many users are not only using them but also getting good effect from it. You should keep some patience for its result.

well i don't think that directory submission is the best...

It is best that you do different SEO strategy to make your ranking stable...
It is not a guarantee that submitting to a directory make make your ranking stable..

You can do forum posting and blog commenting, article submission, but the best of all is fully optimized cite content..
