I think that SEO is the most important area of internet marketing and getting natural links are better. If the link are coming from relevant forum then it’s really good and should be count in search engine ranking

In my opinion, if profile link building is crap then all other link building techniques which are similar to profile building is crap.

• Directory Submission is 85% on irrelevant sites.
