Using SEO and Google Trends got me over 12,000 visitors in 24 hours
I was hit with a flood of traffic to a brand new article I had just written on my blog.
This is what I did:
1. Visited Google Trends and found a hot topic of the day.
2. Did some research and wrote an article about the topic.
3. Posted the article on my blog.
4. Added a link to my article to a few social bookmarking sites.
The traffic started flooding in within minutes from the social bookmark sites. After about 30 minutes I was getting 90% of my traffic from Google searches.
When the visitors came to my site they would also browse the other articles aswell.
You don't need any specific site to choose topic and then write, just write in your own style, don't worry about the professional writing. Though your writing style may not be professional but your ideas may be valuable.
Well, what if you didn't find any hot topic on your niche? I really think that doing these things can't get you popularity. It all depends on how you optimize your keywords... and no matter what topic you are choosing. Just make a strong marketing strategy and work hard on it. i am sure it will succeed.
But I still pay attention to unique articles or something written with their own thoughts not just the ones they see and copied (even though you create your own words if the topic was from other sites I still consider it as copy ones) but anyway if it really does help you to increase your visitors, I can say that you had made a wise strategy.. good luck on it.
Google's hot trend is really a great way to drive some traffic to your site and also it can be used to make some quick money. Of course its temporary, but it will still be worth it.
