Default Cookie Stuffing

Cookie stuffing involves placing an affiliate tracking cookie on a website visitor's computer without their knowledge, which will then generate revenue for the person doing the cookie stuffing. This not only generates fraudulent affiliate sales, but also has the potential to overwrite other affiliates' cookies, essentially stealing their legitimately earned commissions.

As per my knowledge Cookie stuffing occurs when a user visits a website, and as a result of that the visit receives a third-party cookie from an fully different site, and this system is done without user’s knowledge.
Cookie stuffing is a part of black hat SEO technique.

Default Cookie-Stuffing

Hi everyone,
Cookie stuffing defined as inserting cookies in the browser without user consent to add tracking codes and might seem a bit different from consenting consumers looking to give a little information to save money, which mostly defines Convertro's updated 2.0 definition..

Cookie stuffing is a wide known method for making money and it has been around for years but I still find it necessary to have a post regarding Cookie Stuffing on my blog for those people that do not know what it is.

As a normal affiliate you would signup to an affiliate program such as with ebay and then promote the link they give you on your own website. When someone clicks on the link and goes through to ebay- a cookie is put onto their system to track them and if they purchase something you earn a little bit of money.

However when you’re cooking stuffing you don’t actually send visitors to ebay, you simply force the cookie onto their system in the background without them ever knowing. This means you don’t have to drive traffic to them or give them any kind of promotion at all. And because ebay is so big, the chances are a lot of your visitors are going to buy something from them at some point anyway.

Cookie Stuffing of Cookie dropping is when a user visits a website and as result of that visit receives a third party cookie from an entirely different website(target affiliate website), usually without the user being aware of it.

Cookie-Stuffing method is used to cause affiliate merchant's tracking systems to conclude that a user has clicked through a tracking link or to pay commissions accordingly even if the user has not actually clicked through any such link.
