To get to the top 10 rankings in Google, Either you need to learn and implement SEO tips and tricks or hire an SEO or a SEO firm to do it for you. It's kind of easy to get to top 10 rankings for low competed-keywords, but coming to High-competed keywords it's very hard.

I second on that.... it need lots of efforts to top the goolge. Its not that much easy task. For every keywords there are lots of competitors who are working on them. One should have to work in a proper way using perfect marketing strategies to get the effective results.

I think the most essential thing is to work hard for different SEO tactics, and you have to keep patience for the output. Its little tough for the competitive keywords to get on the top in Google but you can get the top position if you target them regularly with gaining good quality backlinks and traffic as well to your site.

I think its not enough to just optimitize the keywords to top the search engines. One should update the site pages regularly with the improved content and keywords. Search engines are always in a search of fresh and new stuff.

there is no magical formula as such for getting top 10 rankings. You need to implement consistent SEO efforts on your website. Although it is difficult but still not impossible.
