Andy, I'm sorry to say this, but the only tool that really deserves to be on that Top 15 free seo tools list is Google Analytics, period.

1. Best free backlink checker - SEO Spyglass. Doesn't ask you for a credit card upfront like SEOmoz and the free version never expires!
2. Best free keyword research tool - Google Adwords Keyword tool. Free forever and for all.
3. Best free comprehensive SEO software for WordPress - All-in-one SEO Pack for Wordpress. Open source software
4. Best Free analytics tool - Google Analytics (has already been mentioned).
5. Best Free blogging tool - Zemanta.

Quality, not quantity.

Quality, not quantity.

Everyone has a right for their own opinion and I certainly respect that. But there are plenty of reasons why not to use any of Google's tools.
In addition to that, I love that there are other possibilities and alternatives.
