In my opinion the techniques used for SEO are more or less same for both the search engines. The only difference is that Google is given a lot of preference because it is the leading search engine. Moreover it is also essential to ensure that the on page optimization done for all the keyword web pages is perfect in order to get good results.

One more Yahoo counts both Do-follow and No-follow while Google Counts Do-follow back-links.
Google is provides more traffic while yahoo seems to be traffic less sometimes.

Default yahoo is important to

I feel that people forget sometimes that 20% to 30% of search engine users use yahoo and bing.

if you think about it in marketing terms that's a lot of customer Potential.

Google gives more importance to off page strategies and quality content where as for Yahoo on page strategies are most important at the time of giving rank in the search engine. So it is best to optimize the web page with both strategies on page and off page, for getting good rank in both the search engines.

Well, I mainly focus on Google as currently it's the main search engine and send huge traffic. I actually wasn't sure how Yahoo and Bing search engine works but as a SEO you must know about them as well.

Hi,
Major difference between Google and yahoo is that google count only do follow link as backlink but yahoo count both no follow and do follow as backlink for the site.
