There was a Panda data refresh (Panda 3.5) on 19th April, 2012. All refreshes just re-emphasise the main Panda’s key concern i.e reducing rankings for sites with duplicate/ spun/ low quality/ less informative content.

A more latest update is the Penguin update weeding out sites with a severe lack of unnatural links.

According to me Penguin update is new update of google. And Google substantiated they refreshed the Panda update on the 27th, but I think it was a minimum update not touching that lots of websites.
