A search engine results page(SERP) is the listing of web pages returned by a search engine in response to a keyword query. The results will include a list of web pages with titles, a link to the page, and a short description.

There are many tools available to check SERP.

SERPs lists several Web pages related to the searcher's query, sorted by relevance. Each page consisits of 10 URLs.

Its very good way to check SERPs in Google manually.. It does provide the accuracy in the result.

well, you can use seochat ranking tools, and I think digital point offer similar service as well. you can do it manually but time wasting if your site is buried deep down in search engines. Hopes that help

depends what you are checking, and why you are checking it. Neither is 'better' in an absolute sense.

'serps' are the organic listings down the left hand side of google. So if you want to 'check' your 'serps', you should go to google.

Unless you mean check you backlink count, what keywords you rank for, that sort of thing.

There are many Tools available on internet but online tools are good only if you have few keywords, for more keywords I am using Advance Web Ranking and SEO Elite Tool for SERP checking.

Its not downlodable, it is on the website. So, whenever you need that tool you will have to go to that site.

use WEB CEO software for check SERPS. this is very useful toll for checking Google / Yahoo / MSN /ASK Rankings Report.
