If you have 2 page with the same or similar content. Use Canonical to indicate that which is your preferred page

The is the main Problem in case of URL and in some case we look site with out start of www these are opened with put this , if we put www with that site it redirect us on some other way or show error this is basically this issue

If you see the site functioning with or without www both and this term referred as Canonical error.

Agreed with Post, When a site usually have two URL's to same page one is With WWW and other is Without WWW, conduct as Canonical URL.

If a URL can be open with or without www it means that url has the issue of canonical problem to resolve this we need to redirect one to other so that we are able to open either with www or without www.
