Default Over optimization.

I heard that if we do over optimization of any site then Google give you the penalty for this act? Is it true or not?

Default Over optimization

Over Optimization happens when your website is considered too good by google either in terms of a sudden volume of backlinks, or because of heavy on-page optimization. In other words, if Google considers that your website optimization is beyond acceptable limits , your website will be red-flagged and automatically restricted or penalized..

Yes! It's true The big "G" wouldn't bluff us now. That is one reason why I love them very much. The over optimization penalty consist of having too many anchor text (not diverse link profile) keywords, page sculpting, over using H tags just to name a few. Content! Content! It's has always been the main request from Google. Keep it fresh!!

Google now tries to provide results from pages which have quality content than sites with quality seo. Optimizing your site too much may be in vain in future.

Google recently plans to remove the website which are over optimized from the search result. I hope sites which are particularly optimized by having keyword rich domain names, keywords in URL, building links with the same selected keywords etc are consider to be over optimized site.

As clear from term if a website is highly optimized(by using hidden text, image alt tags use excessive keywords in Content etc) for getting high ranking in SEO .And that's a black hat technique .So its true you reserve for penalty in high optimizing case.

Google over optimization update will not get rid of companies that are doing "too good" of SEO. Their is no such thing as doing too good..

There is SEO where you target the correct demographic, educate them and build links from these sources to gain traffic.. The good way. You can stil have your keywords in title H1, etc... (you will not be punished for this)

There is SEO where you fool the search engine to rank a site by keyword stuffing, hidden text, unnatural linkage, and other Blackhat stuff... (these are the sites that Google is looking to drop)

As long as users "like" your site, Google will keep displaying it in their SERP. If a site is using Blackhat SEO to gain traffic, they need to be paranoid at all time 's because their site is in constant jeopardy. These sites usually lack good content and have very high bounce rates. Letting Google know that this was not as helpful of a site as the one with good content.

User interaction is everything!

Over Search engine optimization happens when your web page is considered too good by the search engines either in terms of a rapid variety of inbound backlinks, or because of hefty on-page optimization. In other terms, if Google views that your web page optimization is beyond appropriate boundaries, your web page will be red-flagged and instantly limited or fined. Google lately plans to eliminate the web page which are over enhanced from the google. I wish sites which are particularly enhanced by having search term wealthy areas, search terms in URL, linking with the same chosen search terms etc are consider to be over enhanced site.

According to me over optimization have mainly two part. 1) On site over optimization 2) Off site over optimization.
When you do On page optimization but not use ethical way, Google consider as on site over optimization.

When you do off page optimization, and you generating links with low quality, and use some software to generate links and do many things in unethical way, then google consider as off site over optimization.

If you do lots of work in unethical way then google might be penalized your site.

Now Google is very strong and powerful in terms over optimization and that is why they launched his latest Panda version 3.2 to defeat over optimization users.

I think over optimization occurs when you do over link building using same keywords and then you feel the decline of your positions in search results.
