Keywords and traffic volume from 1st position in the search results

Hi All,

I have a question about google SEO.

My website LiveDateSearch.com is on the 1st position for 'live dating' keyword in google.

According to Google Keyword Tool there are 27k monthly searches:
So I expect around 50% of this volume to go to my website which should be something like 10k visitors per month.

But all I get from google with this keyword is only 85 visits per month:
This happens for a few months so far.
Can anyone help me to understand how this is possible and why I get so few visitors though its on the first position?

This might happen due to any one of following reasons:

- Make sure that you have used exact match keyword rather than broad term when using Adwords tools.
- Ranking also differ depending upon the various geographic location. And also clear the cookies and make sure to check you ranks at 1st position.

There might be a high competition for this keyword ...so to increase the number you must really concentrate on the SEO off page optimization methods to increase your page visit

Traffic digit displayed in the tool is the combination of Google and Google search partner and search conducted on google Display network so you can't expect that much traffic to your website even after getting first page position. You also need to see if it is exact search volume digit or broad match.

Actually,this is not necessary we will get same traffic as research tool told.So don't give up,just keep focus on other competitive keywords and I believe if you will have many competitive keywords in top ranking then you can get huge traffic on your website.

We can't believe on tools which show so many searches in that keywords. some time some tough keywords not searches in search engine. try to work on best keywords for your website.

First, make sure to check the exact search volume not the broad one.

Second, make sure to check the local search volume not the global one.

Traffic reported in Google Adwords tool is just an approximate (I guess it is specially designed to show paid search results only) The traffic received actually is much more than that.
