What is Alexa Rank and traffic?

I think google analytic is better tool to check site traffic and rank.

Its true,alexa gives rank for website but we can reply on those stats because it picks data from only those PCs on their browsers alexa toolbar has installed.So it would be better if you will use google analytic to track your website traffic.

You heard that right.
Alexa can be faked easily. And even if it isn't faked it's still inaccurate because Alexa only ranks sites based on who has the Alexa toolbar. You can easily improve it by installing Alexa toolbar on your website and visiting it a couple of times in a day...

After all, how can data generated by less than 10% of total websites give us any idea about quality or popularity of those sites?

Alexa ranked our websites based upon the high visitors or traffic.In Alexa traffic rank is 1 = its high and 10 = low.But in Google page rank 10 = high pagerank and 1=low page rank based on backlinks.
