Link Velocity in SEO?

Hello Friends. I read somewhere about Link Velocity but could not get it. I would like to know about link velocity and its importance in SEO.

It is very simple concept and you can google it easily.
Link velocity is described as the speed at which you get incoming links to your website.
It should not be zero at some point and you should definitely avoif getting thousands of useless back-links.
There are tools which take care of that for you (sep spy, online backlink checker etc..)

Link velocity is the rate in which you gain or lose links; do either too fast and a website may trip an algorithmic filter which could possibly isolate or temporarily penalize the keyword targeted
