Directory Submission Faq.
1. How to Submit Your Site to Directories?
Unlike submitting to search engines, submitting your site to directories and niche portals usually involves a lot more than simply typing in your URL.
2. How are directories going to help my website?
Google and other search engines use ‘backlinks’ for counting the popularity of a website. The more the number of back links the better the chance of being ranked higher in search engine result pages.
3. What does a directory submission involve?
These are the essential components of a directory submission:
- Keyword selection- You must put keywords into your site description (NOT your meta-tag description).
- Title and description copywriting- To get the best directory results, you should submit titles and descriptions to categories that contain your targeted keywords.
- Submission and monitoring- Keeping track of your submissions is essential in the event your site needs to be resubmitted or updated.
4. Are all the directories given in the list are SE friendly?
Yes. All the directories are SE friendly. All are free directories. We will update the list on regular intervals.
5. Do we use automated search engine submission software?
No. We don't suggest of submission software in SEO campaigns. We submit to the search engines by hand.
6. How soon will my links appear?
It depends on the directory. Usually link is posted within 3 days, but there are directories like DMOZ for instance, where it will take longer.
7. How would I know that my site is submitted to directories?
When the submission task is completed, we will provide you the list of verification emails received from various directories submitted.
8. How do you select the directories for Submissions?
Normally we select the directories with the higher PR. But we strongly advise you to submit your website to all directories, because PR changes over time and a link to your website may become valuable after a few months when the directory’s PR improves.
9. Will you be submitting my site to directories where my site is already included?
You can tell us about the directories where you have already submitted your site.
10. How many directories should I submit to?
You should submit to as many as you can. The more links the better, keep in mind though that not every link has the same value: a link from a themed directory that fits the niche of your web site will be very valuable while a listing on a directory completely unrelated to yours won’t bring you nearly any benefit.
