Why do we check broken links for SEO?

What is the use of checking broken links and how it is related for SEO?

In my opinion broken Link Is Not Good for SEO purpose, and while Google Crawl your website at that time Google can not find some Links of your website and by this problem some time you may lose your rank, that is why its necessary to Resolve those your Website if any.

I think you are right and broken links can fell down your ranking.

Obviously you are right. Broken links do not give any benefits for seo. Definitely it will slow down your page ranking. Can i get any tool for checking broken links

Broken links are play bad effect on search engines. Broken plays role in dropping search engine ranking of your website.
