Default The Differences Between a 301 and 302 Redirect ?

Hello friends,

302 redirection from http://www.example.com/ to http://www.example.com/special-action/index.htm, means that, although the page is temporarily redirected to the special action promotional page, the preferred address to be used in the future remains http://www.example.com/. 302 redirects should be used for temporary redirections.

301 is moving the page http://www.example.com permanently to http://www.example.com/special-action/index.htm

hmm I am totally agree with you, in simple words for permanent redirection of url we use 301 redirect code, while for temporary redirection we use 302 redirect code.

Both these redirects may appear virtually identical to users as they will be brought to the new location either way. But the difference between the two is important when it comes to search engine spiders. Both redirects allow spiders to find new pages on your site however 301 redirect informs the spider to remove the old address from the search engine’s index and to index the new address in its place while the 302 redirect simply informs the spider that the old address has temporarily moved.

In my opinion 301 redirect informs the spider to remove the old address from the search engine’s index and to index the new address in its place while the 302 redirect simply informs the spider that the old address has temporarily moved.A 302 redirection is not as seo friendly as a 301 direction because of it does not pass the link juice one URL to another.
