Nowadays mostly people prefer for C++. I think it is more better than other programming languages. If you want to use c++ then share here which type of software you want to develop. May be I will help you.

You could look at C or C++ to start with.

Way back when I was earning my degree in computer science, we used Java to write a compiler, interpreter and parser. While that is just the first step to your own programming language, it was a great feeling that you are able to write one.

You have to remember that you have to go with the one with the least overhead to make it run faster.

Its depend on you that what kind of Web you want to design , mostly people start from HTML and they creat web on Dreamweaver !!!

In my opinion if you want to develop a software please use Dot Net frame work.

Because DOT NET is very rich language as compare to all other web application languages.
