Honestly, a college course in program design or logic wouldn't hurt. Programming with different languages all follows the same basic design process, and it helps to know that before you learn languages themselves.

If you are really interested in programming. Then start from Visual Basic. It is a basic level programming language for beginner. The "Master Visual Basic" is the best book to start.

You can just start with w3school. HTML XHTML CSS JavaScript XML XSL ASP SQL ADO it will help you a lot as a user guide.

Not only online guide is valuable but you should to also get knowledge from qualified and good experienced programmer. And practical knowledge is more easy than theoretical.
