I am going to start my online business. Someone one told me about ecommerce solution. Is E-commerce solutions helpful for my online business? can anybody give me some detail about ecommerce solution.

That's too generic... but yes, you will need e-commerce to sell online! You'll really have to provide some details about your business!

It is depend on your online business size and functionality you want in your ecommerce website. Here are few popular opensource ecommerce (CMS) you should study before come to any conclusion:
- Magento (my favorite ecommerce cms)
- OsCommerce
- OpenCart
- Prestashop (for small ecommerce website)

I strongly recommend discuss your business needs with your provider or any professional and also consider online marketing aspect as it the heart of your business when you functioning online.
