If cloud computing involved hardware then it will required assembly language but for making software of cloud computer then it can be don modern languages, java and C++ and other types of languages...

I think php are required because in this time for designing of web pages mostly required php not any language so its are beneficial.

question was required language for cloud .i suggest python or other scripting language works better
