xoom is great . Paypal sucks , they will deduct 4% of your entire money in fee and then you will see a huge difference in the conversion rates if you are accepting money outside us . Xoom is pretty good. But i have heard it just allows only 12 transaction per year . and xoom does not allow money to go in your current account .

Firstly there is no fee to open & setup an account. Then the basic receiving fees are 2.5% + 0.25$ (through AlertPay balance) or 4.9 % +0.25$ (through Credit Card).

Alertpay is more reliable no doubt, but its not available on mostly shopping sites though their Master card can be used but their service is not available there as paypal is available.
