Default Credit cards payment

If you are an online shop owner, you can boost your online sales if you include credit card as one payment option. However you have to apply for a merchant account to be able to implement your own credit card payment or use a third payment processor . Any recommendations on how you set up a credit card payment on your site?

Depending on your volume you could just use Paypal, although their fees can be a bit ridiculous and they can be difficult to work with. If you are doing large volume you can go through whatever company you are currently using for your brick and mortar store's merchant account and use their online payment processor. Most of the larger one's offer this.

There are also local banks that offer you their own servers to accept credit card payment.Although some people will be afraid to use it because they will not trust any other local banks.

As far as I know you have to be a Paypal account holder to be able to pay a merchant with a Paypal credit payment option. The problem is that not all can apply for a Paypal account.

Paypal is the best way to accept credit card from the customer if you are a merchant. Paypal accepts all the credit cards and it is cent percent secure too. I am also planning to setup the ecommerce site with the help of Paypal.

Did you know that according to research 40% of internet users do not have credit cards? What about putting on your web site a payment processing service that does not require a credit card? There is a new revolutionary payment processing service, called OneTouch Online Purchasing™ it enables consumers to purchase digital content (such as music, ring tones, games, video clips, wallpapers etc.), via their computer or their mobile handset, and charge their purchase to a billing account with the bank or telecom service provider of their choice. Why not check it out as an alternative payment?

CHARGE Anywhere enables merchants to accept credit card payments online. There are several ways to do this. Some options are payment forms, bill presentment, and shopping carts. CHARGE Anywhere is willing to work with merchants to customize solutions to their needs. They have a breach free payment gateway and are extremely reliable.

Default Payment Processing

Hi,
Most payment processors have various means of contact including email and phone. Make sure that you know exactly what you're getting yourself into before signing up with any payment processor. You can know more information from www(dot)merchantacquiring(dot)co(dot)uk.

Yea, credit cards are widely used as one of the payment mode these days and are very convinent to the customers. You can register for an online merchant account with your local bank. Be informed that to be able to process payment from all major credit cards in your site, you'll have to register online merchant accounts with two separate banks. Reason: majority of banks only deal with some of the credit cards involved.

Alternatively, you can register an online merchant account through a third party merchant account provider like Moneris, Beanstream, InternetSecure or PSiGate.

The benefits of registering for an online merchant account with third party merchant account providers is that you'll not be required to make any security deposits (as require by banks), the set-up is fast and they're flexible enough to be bundled with ecommerce service packages which can include internet gateway required for credit card processing "this is the equivalent of POS terminal" plus a shopping cart.

If you are in the US you can ask your local bank which agency they use to set new accounts (very few US banks are 'acquiring' so many of them no longer do this themselves).

If you not in the US you'll have to search for an acquiring bank or payment processor that handles your product type and country of origin.

I hope this helps

The best solution for accepting credit card payments is that you use your own merchant account. For this, you will need a bank that can issue you a merchant account, but the requirements for this can vary among different banks.

Though you can also accept payments through third party payment processors, but they will charge you with different fees and charges for accepting payments on your behalf.

In order to accept credit card payments on your website, you will need to set up a merchant account, a shopping cart system and access to a secure server.

To set up a credit card payment system, you need to have a merchant account at a bank, it will serve as an agreement between you, the merchant bank and payment processor for the settlement of credit card and/or debit card transactions.
