To be able to enjoy its features you have to get verified by complying with paper requirements. and your verification level depends on the extent of compliance with its requirements. This is probably the only payment processor with a live helpdesk support.
Who uses this as a processor? What are the benefits? I'm not sure I want to give anyone a bunch of my paper info if there is no real benefit in it for me. Is it only a processor for companies in Asia?

I do not think that they will be able to dislodge the giant that is name Paypal.Paypal has got a big user base and without users you just cannot make a payment processor work.
I have been using Asianpay because of its low yield investment program. It is not yet a worthy competitor of Paypal since it has been operating just barely a year. By the way I like also Asianpay's service of offering a credit card payment gateway to online merchants.
