Plus the conversion rates are very low these days. Just around 39Rs/1$.

you can go on forums and ask to trade someone. you send them paypal money and they send the money from their bank account to yours. Just be careful of scammers as alot of people dont have feeling and wouldnt think twice about robbing from you
Transfer your funds to your friend's account which be can widthrawn to his or or her bank (i.e. US based bank) account. Request your friend to transfer the withdrawn funds to your bank account thru a remittance service provider.
On my experience, the best way to transact money from Paypal to Indian bank account is Xoom. I have done many transaction using this Xoom.com. They catch up a fee of $8, but it worth for their speed and secure transaction.
I tried with Remit2India. This is one of worst service i ever seen. the customer care guys doesnt provide the accurate information, it took 10 working days to reach the money to india. Dont even try with these people
I dont think so breddy..i am also using remit2india from last 4 months and its gr8 my family is receiving money within promised time..and if you see their site properly then you come to know you dont even go for customer care guys everything is available online..i will suggest remit2india..if you wanna save your hardly earned money..
remit2india is providing fastest tracking of transactions. i have also heard that it is providing some services wid paypal ( just heard never tried). i am also using paypal to for transctions to my parents in india but there are heavy charges behind it when we will transfer these funds to bank, but in that case remit2india is much affordable and safe too..
