Virtual credit card
Anyone using here a virtual credit card? Is it worth having one for online transactions? I'm referring to virtual credit cards which do not require personal information and even ownership of a credit card as pre requisite.

If you have a Citibank card they have a system where they will generate you a one time only number to use for each online sales transaction. Some of the virtual card options I have seen have ridiculous fees, and this would be a much better option with an actual respected credit card company. It is a free service from them.

I know Epassporte offers a virtual credit card but with their recent issues with online gambling sites I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole. Try a company called Netspend at Netspend.com. I know they offer some type of virtual card that you can load by direct deposit, but they are another one with ridiculous fees.

i have once used a virtual credit card, its quite safae and secure compared to the normal credi card which can bewuite risky to use and also the fact that its prepaid so it can be hacked and used for fraud..
though one drawback is that you cant file chargebacks on virtual credit card,
which you can do on credit cards..

I am afraid to try these cards as I do not want to lose my money. Also these cards are quite expensive.
Personally I do not see the use of having this card.

Virtual credit card is like a gift from God, it is 100% secure. Simply login to your account and create a vcc, the vcc number is completely different from your actual credit card number.

The use of virtual credit card is one way to reduce online fraud. Identity theft is rampant and charge back has been causing merchants considerable cost in their over head expenses. Virtual credit cards have expiration period and they can only be loaded with your desired fund level.

You may buy a virtual card from this site rhumsikypay.com. They have prepaid virtual cards for online and phone shopping and they work just well. I used them couple of times and i have no problem with their cards. Try it out.

Ya, it is worth a try and one time use. But, make sure that you buy it from a trustworthy source.

IMO, the virtual credit cards which do not require personal information and even ownership of a credit card as pre requisite will put your money at stake, that's not safe!

My friend showed me a neat site the other day called freevirtualdebitcard.com and I did a few surveys and they emailed me a card (infos and such). Works with paypal too, I wasn't sure if this info would be useful to anyone.
