I think there are a great many people looking for meaning in life - maybe even your neighbour. I've lived abroad, scuba-dived, etc and I often find myself wondering about the same things you're describing. Some people have found peace through religion but I don't think it's necessarily the catch-all answer that the other commenter described and I certainly don't think it's the only answer.

You will have to prove it is yours. Because the other party could say the exact same thing, that you stole it from him and they're the originator. If their article was posted before yours, you may have a difficult time. The time stamp can be easily manipulated, just keep that in mind. It's an exhausting process, and may not be worth the effort.

I am not suggesting not to take action, just being realistic about it.
