Default Do I need an SSL certificate for a website that allows people to make donations

It is technically a foundation, a non profit organization website, which will allow people to make donations for the cause. Is purchasing an SSL certificate for this site a good idea?
If i have to purchase then which one is better for such a site?

There are a lot of donation options - Amazon and Paypal both have systems that allow you to take donations utilizing their service web sites. Your users actually submit via the third-party server. No need to use SSL or even forms on your own site.

Ditto! This is all you need! If using paypal, just log in and create a donation button (It's all self-explanatory when going through the process).

If you are using a 3rd party to collect the money then most likely their website is secure with SSL. If let's say you have your own form they will out and put in a credit card number then yea you should get one. Godaddy has a good deal on it
