Default Is it legal having an adult website without...

My question would be, is it legal having an adult website without the US.18 whatever the heck that is, that states that every model is above the age of 18 and such stuff.
Can i get in trouble not putting that on ?

Yes I think it would be illegal to not display that. I think you'l have to study the US law a bit to find out if you need to put it there. If I was you I'd place it there and leave it. Better to be safe than sorry!

Any legitimate adult site would not balk or complain at the idea of protecting children. Legit p0rn companies do not want to be associated with pedophiles, child p0rn and the like so would not worry about following the law.

A fine is not the only thing - bottom line is if your models are underage, this is child abuse, plain and simple.

It is an adult site so minors are not allowed whether they are models or ordinary surfers. It is difficult to run after offenders. Web host providers have a vital role in addressing the proliferation of illegal adult sites.

Hello !

It depends on which country are you living ! If you would open such a site in a poor and udeveloped country where you wont pay taxes , i believe its okay but its completely different if you would open it in UK or USA !

Thanks

well if it is a member site and there is no nudity on the front page i would say that you wouldnt have to but when a member joins you would have to post that

how does one know if porn site is from india? with the help of registry?

If it's a problem in india, what if i purchase a ready made adult site domain + hosting from a US guy? Will this be fine?

I think you should research about it thoroughly before launching your website. It's better to be careful or else you'll take the consequence. It's important to follow the rules/laws being implemented.
