creating login accounts

Hi, im new to creating websites so far i understand the ftp and databse sides slightly, but still not too much. But basically what im wanting to do it, allow my users to log into my website, and from that log in, be able to upload images, and then those images be displayed in a part of the website similar to how google images displays its own images. and if possible allow comments and rating of the images.


But for now, id rather just get the accounts set up before making them more complicated.. my website is http://freaksofanime.com/ (please ignore the banner at the top, it will no longer be there when i upgrade my hosting)

ive pretty much got the interface set up, i just need the coding side of things, if anybody could advise me to tutorials or post help here it would be great thanks

Have you looked into php. Php coding with mysql will do what your asking.

With the login you can use something like php sessions.

Infact have you taken a look at the http://www.php.net website. That website gives information about all php functions and stuff including the use of sessions.

I would recommend the W3Schools website where you can find a lot of interesting lessons about php and other web programming languages. Another great source are the VLC video lessons, but unfortunately these lessons are paid.
