Default Why grapple with Illustrator when you've got CorelDraw?

As a CorelDraw user of over a decade, I admit I'm a little biased.

But really, CorelDraw X5 is everything Illustrator CS5 is, only it's much easier and more intuitive to use. All the extras that Illustrator has are merely embellishments; just bells and whistles.

Of course it's just my opinion but I believe Illustrator only enjoys the market share it does because of the marketing. What do you think?

Illustrator and Photoshop work perfectly together, and as most designers use Photoshop, it's easier for them to switch between these two programs instead of turning to a third one which can be not 100%compatable with PS

I think that in my mind as a Corel user I love a good vector instead of a pixel one

but Illustrator is a vector tool, too. The question was, why is one vector tool preferred over the other.

One vector tool is more preferable than the other because it's something like a habit and user has a real alternative which software to use. But may be the question of price is also important in this direction with choosing the cheapest one.

Web pages include sound graphics, video and animation. Many Web developers are learning Flash to add more flair to boring Web pages
