Default Video Ads

This is a question for anyone who has an opinion on it: When you're at sites like Youtube, what do you think of ads that run just before a video plays? Or ads that are served near the bottom of the screen while the video is playing (which I believe you can "X" out a lot of times) ?

The reason I ask is that I was thinking of running/serving ads in that manner at my own video site, and was wondering what the general consensus was on that sort of thing. Are the ads annoying, do you just sit back and enjoy them, or do you not care one way or the other about the ads?

Actually those ads annoy me to no end...especially when I am trying to view a video and have to wait 15 seconds for it to finish. And I can guarantee you I never watch one second of the ad. I usually mute them and wait the 15 seconds!

To my personal opinion video adds are rather fresh in advertisement industry and can be judged as annoying and useless stuff. But it's a wrong opinion and hope that video adds will be a big part of it soon.
