Default Search engine graphics

Images can definitely add life to your website. How do you make your images search friendly so that these will also be indexed and included in search engines
top list? Google has a search engine feature which allows you to search for images.

I am not sure if these are valid points but I believe if you do a couple things, it will make images SE friendly.

First, I always name my images something recognizable:

for example if you are talking about chocolate cake, call the image
round-chocolate-cake.jpg

This way there is no confusion as to what it is. When you give it a number or letters, how could the SE know what the pic is. This feature helps as well for people are disabled.

Secondly, I give the image an "alt" tag. Again, it should be something relevant and readable.

I have never thought about that before...
well i guess it would work by registering your website
with google and they would just take the name of your image files
and use them to link back to your site
