Flash is good rather then gif animated... because with flash you can make lots of effects..

GIF images are more suitable for this purpose as they require less bandwidth and load quickly. Flash images affect loading speed considerably and make sites slower.

hi, I will give my vote to Flash because it has good features and animations to create interactive website header and if you want to have business over web then you must create your product or service banners in GIF because it possess small image size with animated effects.

For a good outlook i go with Flash however if i want to do optimization i am more interested in static image.

Trend is changing try to use Jquery instead of flash or any other non searchable item.

Flash is much better, but overall I'm not using, as it only consumes extra bandwidth and if you are looking to build a great website is not really necessary.

right, flash is good, but however, they are not good for SEM index.
picture can be indexed by Search Engine Images, for me, it's good in some way.

GIF images are a preferred choice for most when developing websites as they require less bandwidth and load quickly. Flash images on the other hand decrease the efficiency of a website significantly by decreasing loading speed and making the sight run sluggishly.

According to me,Flash looks much better. I have seen some very nicely designed sites using flash, the only downfall is that not everyone has broadband or a fast internet connection as of yet and flash can take quite a while to load up on your site if it's a big flash file.
