Default The Gimp

What do you think of the Gimp as a graphice software?
Personally I find it very heavy but there are great functions it it.
I think that we do not need Photoshop if we have this one

The GIMP is a great piece of free open source software however I still prefer Photoshop over it and plan to stick with PS. If I didn't have PS and couldn't afford to purchase it, my first choice for a freebie would be the GIMP.

If you're a serious graphic designer, you'll know and have PS. If you just like to play with graphics as a pastime and don't want to invest in this field, the GIMP would be a great idea.
