Photoshop is one of the programs which you may use to edit photos; but at the end of the day, it still depends on the person's skills on manipulating photos to make them look better.

Photoshop is the master, it is the leader of the market. There are definitely other softwares, but you cannot say them competitors of Photoshop.

i think it is not only photoshop. we have many other tool to do design like DAZ Studio , CorelDRAW Graphics Suite , Adobe Illustrator ..etc

Editing with Photoshop
Yes, Photoshop is the best software to edit photograph no other software compare to photoshop. Use latest version of Photosop it is CS4.. so you get better features in that.
