Will SERP results vary from country to country,why?

Hi Friends,

I would like to know why the keyword rankings vary from country to country, for example if I check in India the keyword ranking would be in 1st page and if I check the ranking for the same keyword in USA, it would be in 2nd page, why is it so? kindly explain me as I need to explain to my client.

This is because the competition for the keywords in India is low and in USA is high. So if you search google.co.in then it will show the result on the first page.

When ever you search any keyword , Google automatically detects your ip and geographical location then it picks data from local data centers. Somr times based on the competitions or popularity the search results vary.

This is a natural phenomena that people of USA don't want to see same thing as people of India want to see. And Google works at the same phenomena, if you think that your product should be visible in SERP to Google. com then you have to optimize that according to that.
