Google.com PR is 9 now it was 10 before

I noticed a strange thing google.com site is having pagerank 9 and it was 10 before.

Yes ..i am very confused about that how it is possible. Google updates the page rank of the websites but here it's own page rank in decreasing. Please anybody tell me why it is so..

It is quite possible as such fluctuations are possible as you work with sites and take it easy.

Well this new PR update is a real joke, my PR dropped and I thought I must have done something wrong, went to different forums to check and there were literally hundreds of people moaning, especially a polish website that has only 1 back link from a dead website and has only one page with gibberish written all over and guess what it has a PR of 6. I think google has made a serious blunder somewhere and they need to sort it out ASAP.
