Blogs are actually what people are more interested in as, due to this, visitors get some newly updated information and yes, it too drive some traffic. It is very important in link building too.

well its not really true that google likes blogs..incredibly broad question. First, its true google does like fresh content, however its not true that blogs cant be spam
you can auto post..you can spam blogs trust me. Not suggesting you do it.
Blogs are liked just as much as websites..

Google wants to give power to the usual people. A blog is the easiest way for a people to speak with other. I think the Blogspot structure (with Google owner) and Wordpress platform are very easy to spider by bots.

hi, A blog is all about content and Google likes to index fresh content. So if you have a blog and you are updating it with good content then your blog must have good PR.
