Google Owns the Patent of Its Home Page

Hi folks,

I ready on one of the SEO blogs that fter five years, Google has finally owned the patent to the design of its home page. So anyone who tries to copy its design will face patent infringement from Google.

The patent refers to whole Google Home Page as a graphical user interface. This GUI includes the search box in the middle of any communications terminal with two buttons below. It also includes several links below the two buttons.

So, basically anybody who designs their search engines in such layout will be subjected to copyright infringement.

Yup it patents its homepage as some people might think that it is simple but is beautifully designed innovative "Graphical User interface"

It submitted the patent application back in 2004 and finally on 1 of september it get patened.

It is hard to believe Google hasn't owned the Patent of Its Home Page until now??

So we can't use Google's logo anymore?

Yeah, it's really surprising, that such a giant didn't do it earlier, though I think they just had some reasons for that

Its hard to get Patent for the web sites design and it takes time

Well, good to know that, maybe we need to be more cautious when we use google's logo next time!
