Default sitemap?

I want to know some information about sitemap. What's it actual use, in which way it help our site and how can I implement it in my site?
Please, reply me if you know it's stuff.

Well I read that this is very useful because Google will know all the pages of our website so it will crawl them all without any problems. And if you want a sitemap create one from here xml-sitemaps.com if you have a wordpress blog you can find some plugins to do that. Remember that every time you add something, like a new page, ping google!

You can make sitemaps for your webpage in two ways.First useing a program like gsitecrawler or as mentioned above post.Both way it works.But when u use program it takes too long.Sitemap is very important for seo.

I use the google site map creator. Seems very quick and fast. Oh and free.

you can track how google views your site map using the google webmasters tool.
DO a search for it - its free to use, varify your account and you are away.

Googlebot travels a lot to search fresh content on the web. Using sitemap for your website you instruct Googlebot that all links of my websites are on this page. By doing so you are reduce its work. Else Googlebot will visit your page crawl all links this may be results in some pages left to be indexed, or take more time to index your whole website. Now You can tell Googlebot for your sitemap path by adding one line Sitemap: your sitemap.xml path.
