Google advertising free Adwords trial

I usually see ads from Google saying to get certain amount of free Adwords credit to get started. Do they have terms that it will be credited only when I buy a package from them. Does anyone knows here.

Usually with Adword they send you that link that's in the post above AND a promotional code that you have to use. Without the code it's a useless link.

If I'm wrong please correct me and I'll sign up myself for the credit. But I signed up before through a link with my ISP and had to enter the code they gave me. Then that failed and I had a 2 day long e-mail exchange with the big G to get my account credited.

u cant get free credit in ppc account. its paid services
