Default google adwords?

Is it worth it to pay for google adwords for a brand new site? Or should I wait to market my site thru forums before I pay for marketing?

I would personally do other marketing techniques for a week and get a little bit of traffic to your site first so you can gauge if adwords is suitable for the site your advertising.

Google Adwords can be effective but it can also be costly. Before you tap it as your marketing tool you have to weigh and reckon your revenue with you adwords budget. While doing that you can undertake your personal marketing of your site.

gladiator, what do you mean by personal undertaking? From what I've read around, I probably will start with submitting my site in forums and search engines.

I wouldn't mess with Google Adwords until you have built up some of your own traffic and you know what you are doing. Is it quite possibly one of the easiest ways to go broke. What type is site is it? I wouldn't use it for a site unless I was sure was site was monetized to the hilt.

You got what I mean. You can start with doable ways in promoting your site without entailing significant cost on your part. Promote your site in high traffic forums thru your signature. Create good contents for your site or create a blog that will promote your site. You can also join social networking sites like Myspace, Friendster, Squidoo.

It's not worth doing unless you're selling a product (and know how to convert well). Unfortunately arbitrage is pretty much dead on AdWords/AdSense now.

Does this mean that you can no longer create your niche site, place your adsense and promote this thru Google Adwords? I'm not really clear on this arbitrage concept.

xenigo123, my site is a blogging site about the UFC. I don't plan to sell anything except thru an affiliate program selling UFC gears and tapes.

The problem with Google adwords is that is way too expensive. If you dont mind about the money you spend for advertisement, then it is the best..!! cheaper ones will be to advertise in search engines.

If you can afford to pay for Adwords right at the start of the site I would but if you can't pay that much i would wait until you get a bit of traffic and then start advertising on Adwords.

the first need before investing in any marketing tecnique is to make the site more advertised through the free means like emails, forum postings, leaving signature link in blogs ,free classified sites if its an products site then opt in for any marketing and ppc program as you may get some goo0d traffic from the above free methods then using adwords can be fruitful as adwords may incur you to good investment sometimes you may not recover the amount invested for adwords campaign. so be careful before planning anything.

I agree with those that said not to go the adwords way just yet. There is so much to adwords that you can never learn everything just by going through some tutorials.

Go ahead and proceed with the other advertising methods like Bum Marketing and forum posting. In the meantime, try and understand how PPC works. Earn some money and then attempt PPC. PPC is all about trial and error in the beginning. Even the most experienced marketers can go wrong with PPC. But then then have the financial backup to withstand the losses.

Go slow and take it one step at a time and you should be on your way in no time.

Oosha ....... you told the right thing. It best to the way he or she has told. Going for Adsense doesnt seem to be a good way to me. It will be better to choose other ways first rather than going for Adsense in the very beginning!!!

Smile Adwords and Adsense

It is oK to pay for Google Adwords if you want to bring in quality targeted traffic to your website. Only then you can hope to make money from Google Adsense and selling your products. Make sure your products are inexpensive and you have an excellent sales copy.

Default Adwords

Hi, as with most the other posts I would not start with Adwords initially, they can be expensive. I would try other avenues first, and when you're ready for adworks, invest a very small amount first and do your maths very carefully. Also adwords might be totally unsuited for low cost products due to the competition.

Hope this helps

Paul
