Hello friends.... google is launching a social networking site like facebook. I have visited the site and it looks very attractive. What do you think..will google+ gain popularity over facebook?

It may be or may not be. Who can predict the future? But, its a google product. So, it has a bright future.

While it is still new and not many have access to it, people are speaking about Google+ overtaking Facebook and so on. I don't say that beating Facebook is impossible, but will not also say that just by launching a service with features similar to Facebook can beat it though. You need to get something better and also be good in marketing it.

Well, at this point of time we can just speculate things... I am sure this is going to be a tough competition for facebook.
It seems Google is all set to beat major social networking websites because the project appears to have many interesting applications like, +circles, +spark, +hangout etc.

I think that ideas they try to implement are not new. The question is - how do they do it. For example, circles look like friends groups on Facebook, but if Google will cope to make it easier and handy to have a deal with Circles than with friends groups it's +1 for them. And when it is +1 and +1 and +1 it looks like popularity.

Its an old news, Google has launched this few days ago, and its a good move from them to stay in touch with latest features and to compete with others. .

I think with the passage of time it will be more popular as facebook because it is giving good privacy options. In it you can add 7 persons of in your circle and communicate with each other. No other one would be able to see your circle communication.

It will take time but +1 is really a very smart move by Google in field of social networking arena It will take time to reach up to the popularity level of Facebook.

Google wants to expand into the field of social media, but the competition is very hard and i don't think that Google will succeed.

It may affect your SEO... Because its a social networking site and just like any other networking website it will help you in improving your SERP rankings... Since Google consider social media reputation while assigning SERP rankings.

I really like the competition going around the web especially with Google vs Facebook. I'm excited how these battle will turn out. Google is making a lot of tweaks with their services and design (love the utube's cosmic panda) and Facebook adding more features to enhance user messaging experience. What's next?

and expert saying from google that it will beat facebook. but after visiting google plus i don't think so. facebook now has become a strong social networking site and its very hard to beat it. and google has already a bad social network NETLOG.... if anyone know about it
