i want to know what is a good way to get people to my website...is website traffic a good marketing technique, i new to it, need some guidance

The article would become duplicate then. There should only be one article which is on this site. We don't allow others to republish our articles including Site Pro News. But they can link to it, can't see them doing that though.

We are listed on their site under the 'Affiliate Marketing Resource Directory' section though. I don't think we get much traffic from it, but it does give us a quality backlink and the traffic that we do get from it all adds up.

Unfortunately it most probably will be missed by a lot of people, but then it happens all the time on the Internet. Just have to hope that it gets indexed very well within the major search engines.

I was thinking of pointing some newbie friends from other forums to your list but I was warned not to do such a thing. Pointing people from other forums to another forums is such a big deal for some, isn't it?

I can see where they are coming from as each forum on a similar niche is in competition with each other really.

We're not quite as strict as that though. We have allowed some members to mention other forums here in the past and still allow it as long as it doesn't go overboard.

I was trying to think about the connection between articles, links, and traffic from this thread. I'm thinking if you submit articles to directories, you'll surely have lots of links which mean more exposure. Does this also mean more traffic?

It can mean more traffic depending on how popular the places are where your article gets placed. It's a little harder to what it use to be to get traffic from article submissions but it can still be done if you spend time on writing good quality articles that good quality publishers want to use.

It normally does mean more traffic from people directly clicking on the links. The more links you have scattered around on other sites the more chance there is of someone seeing it and clicking on it. It's just like the lottery. If you have 1 ticket, then there is less chance of you winning, but if you have much more tickets then the odds increase dramatically. The only thing that some people say to watch out for is the major search engines as Google doesn't like you to increase links to quickly as they may consider it as trying to spam. That's what others think though and not exactly what I think.

Also to get direct traffic from links, it's best to have them on sites pages that get some good traffic as this will gain you the most traffic rather than having them on sites that are new or have no traffic.

So it's the chance that only increases but not the exact or definite traffic itself.

It is and then again it isn't. For example, if you manage to put your sites link on a page of another site that gets a lot of traffic, then your websites traffic should definately increase from that link being there. But if you write an article and submit it to an article directory so that other webmasters can pick it up and republish it on their own sites, then that will increase your links, but there is no guarantee that you will see any increase in direct traffic from people clicking on your links in the article as the article could be put on very low traffic sites that have lots of content. Even though you may not have a direct traffic increase, it still should help your serps a little as far as I know.

there are plenty of ways to get from free traffic(organic) to paid traffic but be careful when choosing a paying one!1
